TAILORING/ALTERATIONS/COSTUMES
To be truthful, I don't have very many pictures that can show you the services I offer in this sector of my business. Let's face it, taking a photo of a new hem or a mending job...it's just not that exciting.
Sometimes we buy clothing that almost fits. We get a good deal and say when we buy it, "I will just roll up the pants" or "I will eventually take this to a tailor and get it hemmed" -- But we so rarely do these things and the clothing just sits in our closet and we never wear it because it's just a little "off!" I can help.
Then we have everyday wear and tear. You lose a button, bend over and rip a hole in your new skirt or a zipper breaks. Sometimes we buy new things, but sometimes the "torn" garment is our FAVORITE -- we basically want to wear it until it falls apart completely!! I understand. I can help.
I can also help you with your costuming needs. I can create new costume designs or can work with the costume you have and make it better.
I like a challenge and enjoy learning new skills.

Seri Johnson from Sew Smiley is an amazing seamstress. I have my own birthday party company with loads of costumes and Seri is able to take a size 14 costume and tailor it to a size 4. She does meticulous work and makes my costumes look better than ever adding trim, serging the hems and sewing on embellishments that enhance the garment. I also love the way she is able to take a regular pattern and adjust it to my needs and desires. Seri always has a happy “can do” attitude no matter how strange the request may be. She has done everything for me all the way from repairing slippers to custom making a mermaid costume from scratch. She completes her sewing projects
in a timely manner and I always
